Curry Todd – Tennessee’s own, State Representative, legislator
Curry Todd is one of Tennessee’s native sons and one of the state’s standout products. He currently serves the state’s 95th Representative District in the Tennessee House of Representatives, a position he was first elected to in 1998. Throughout that time, he has gained acclaim as a committee member on a number of significant tasks and has sponsored and co-sponsored countless bills serving the people of his district. It’s a career that has its roots in Curry Todd’s public and private experiences.
From his early days as a high school standout athlete in the sport of basketball, he was recognized for his excellence when he was named the Tennessee High School Athlete of the Year and later had his jersey retired at that school. He played at the University of Memphis, graduating from there into public life as a business owner and as a member of Memphis finest as a police officer. Curry Todd rose to represent law enforcement to the legislature as a lobbyist and liaison for a number of years. Curry Todd has been elected and re-elected to the office of State Representative an outstanding eight times and has a history of accolades and accomplishments that are exceptional and have served the district well over the years.
The community has benefited from Curry Todd’s service and responded not only with re-elections, but has awarded him with accolades and recognition throughout his esteemed career. Curry Todd is heavily involved in the community through a number of causes and associations locally and beyond. He is involved with and has been a supporter of the National Rifle Association, the Republican Women of Purpose, the Fisherville Civic Club, the Memphis Zoological Society, the East Shelby County Republican Club, the Republican Women of Purpose, the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame, and many more.
